INTRODUCING ARTISTS
LUCIANO(CADENZA/VAGABUNDOS)
As a DJ he has performed at virtually every major club and festival in the world, blazing a trail of music from Ibiza to Berlin, Peru to Tokyo, via London, Frankfurt, Sao Paulo and all points in between. Always striving to bring new excitement to electronic music, he debuted the multi-media show ‘AEther Live’ in 2009 – a futuristic synchronization of sound and music. However, Luciano hasn't lost sight of the simple pleasures of dance. In 2009, when DC10 was shut for the summer, Luciano was determined to bring back the underground spirit of Ibiza with a free party at a beach bar called Ushuaia. From a one-off event it exploded into the biggest party of the summer, packed with a mix of party people and industry elite looking to experience the good vibes that make Ibiza famous.
REBOOT(CADENZA)
Reboot has evolved as an artist without ever losing the initial rush of passion that pushed him out of his house and into the arms of electronic music. In a career spanning early collaborations with Marco Delle Done, as Delle & Heinrich, to his current incarnation as a hugely in-demand solo artist, he has released classic records on labels such as Connaisseur, Supplement Facts, Combi Int, Moon Harbour, Renaissance, Cecille and of course Cadenza. His inquisitive musical nature pushes Reboot to experiment constantly, developing into a compelling performer equally at home behind the decks or playing live, and who travels effortlessly from temples of techno such as Womb, Tokyo; Fabric, London and Cocoon, Frankfurt to intimate clubs such as Robert Johnson and Brazil’s legendary D-Edge, without losing its energy and power to move.
ROBERT DIETZ(CADENZA)
Dietz is a firm favourite in clubs around the globe. These days he spins at his old haunt, Cocoon Frankfurt, but it is just one stop on an incessant world tour that sees him flit through Pacha, Ibiza; Dance Valley, Amsterdam; Revolver, Australia; Arma17, Moscow; London’s ultra-hip underground Shoreditch warehouse parties and a second south American Tour in November 2010. The appeal of his music is abundantly clear to anyone lucky enough to have caught one of his beachside sets at Ushuaia, Ibiza, where he ignited the crowd with supple, intoxicating, modern house that captured the celebratory spirit of old-fashioned club music fused with a sleek, 21st century vibe.
CARL CRAIG(PLANET E / DETROIT)
Carl Craig is described as a creative visionary, an electronic music icon, an esteemed Grammy-nominated composer, a world-class DJ and an ambassador for his native Detroit. Yet the common thread that runs through Craig’s broad musical canon and creative projects is a resounding fascination with futurism. The 41-year old producer has cultivated a unique path as an artist, entrepreneur and civic leader, guided by his tendency toward forward thinking. Craig released his first track in 1989 on a Virgin UK compilation album, with two singles following on labels run by his first collaborator Derrick May. After a series of ambitious releases for his co-owned Retroactive imprint, in 1991 Craig launched his second record label , Planet E, with the groundbreaking EP “4 Jazz Funk Classics.” Still going strong, Planet E will turn 20 in October 2011.
